     Hello again, everyone! It's Reyyan. I am officially back in action with the first task of the semester. I hope you all missed me. Just when we thought our midterms were over, we found ourselves diving right into another task. For this one, we worked on the ASSURE model and prepared an AI-enhanced, corpus-based lesson plan. Considering the assignment landed right on top of our midterm week, I can say I'm pretty satisfied with the outcome. Of course, it was challenging, as all group projects are. But I believe we managed the process well to complete the assignment to the best of our ability. I'll talk a bit about our materials. First, we have a four-stage worksheet. There's an initial section where students can test their existing knowledge. This is followed by a section for corpus scanning, AI-provided sentence examples, and vocabulary work.      Ohh Hii! Soo, we're back together again after a long long break. It really nice to be here again, I guess. I was really happy when I wrote my last post and I thought this blog stuff was over. But despite all the difficulties, I think I missed this a little, and I'm happy  we'll be doing that again this semester in our Current Issues course. I thought I had deleted my blog, thank god I didn't. Let’s see what this semester has in store for us. I feel technically more prepared and stronger this time, and I hope it won’t be as challenging as the last one. Throughout the semester, I’ll be sharing what I learn and experience here on this blog.   Heere we aree. Now, This is really THE final. I meaann, I hope so. We have come to the end of a long long journey where we’ve had our ups and downs, had kind of fun, learned and even sometimes a lot of academic tears. This ICT course I took was way beyond what I expected, I mean so unexpected that it was almost painfully productive. For someone like me, who is not exactly in love with technology (I don’t even have a laptop), this course was quite the challenge. But I must admit, I have learned so much. Before this course, the tools I thought I could use for learning and teaching English were limited to a few commonly known apps. But now, I feel much more competent in this area, and I will definitely integrate these tools into my teaching. Since the beginning of the semester, we’ve been writing blog posts, which has been really great for tracking our progress.  Uhh, Finally!! (🙏)With this final assignment, I’m wrapping up my second year in the English Language Teaching (ELT) program, and I can’t believe how fast it’s gone! It’s been a really tiring yet rewarding year, and I’m so happy to finish it off with such a cool experience. Thanks to Magic School’s Character Chatbot, I got to interview Mustafa İnan! Honestly, I didn’t expect the program to be so good. The conversation felt quite real, and it was such a special moment for me it didn’t feel like I was talking to a bot at all! During the chat, I had the chance to ask Mustafa İnan about everything from his childhood and relationship with science to his thoughts on education and society. I loved hearing his perspective it was inspiring and really got me thinking about my own views on teaching.     Hi everyone.  In this task, we were asked to draw a path for the audience to get maximum pleasure from the film that we chose. I worked with my dear friends Elif Tezer and Seçil Sırlan. Collaborative writing was a task that really required organization and time management. I think we really had a hard time in this regard. The fact that we didn't have common free time and that I was also working slowed the group down at some point. But I can say that we managed the process very well with mutual understanding and maturity. In general, I think these tasks consumed too much time compared to their contribution.      Google Docs, I think, it is a very nice app. Since I don't have my own personal computer and the mobile version of the application is very inadequate, it was very difficult for me to access the application, which made things a bit difficult.     In general,  I can't say that I enjoyed the group assignments.  Although it may no...

🎧 Listen to my podcast As part of our ICT course this semester, we were asked to create a 60-second podcast called “Ideas to Make the World a Better Place.” While brainstorming, I drew inspiration from my experience working in the textile industry earlier this semester. That experience made me more aware of the industry's environmental and ethical challenges, which became the focus of my podcast. Recording was a bit tricky—I struggled to find a quiet space and had to manage background noise. I also found it challenging to fit everything I wanted to say into just one minute, but it taught me the value of clear and concise communication. Despite these obstacles, I enjoyed the creative process and was satisfied with the final result. Overall, this assignment was both fun and educational. It helped me explore a new medium and develop skills in digital storytelling. In the future, I’d love to give my own students a similar project to encourage critical thinking, creativity, and awar...
